Why is my page so slow?
Common causes of slow page delivery are:
slow or overloaded hosting environment, low server throughput,
inapropriate page design, bloated content, incorrect use of components,
programming issues, slow database lookup, sluggish embedded URLs.

Does this test reflect the speed of my server or of
your monitor?
Our monitor has a 10 Mbps T3 connection. At this speed, a 50 Kb page
will load in about 0.04 sec -- if your web server could deliver it that
fast. But it usually can't, and the HTTP overhead slow things further.
Also, remember that what's significant is not the absolute speed reported
here, but the speed relative to other sites. So always compare it to our
benchmarks.

Will my users experience the kind of speed reported here?
No! Your users (except those with T3 connections) will experience
significantly lower speed. For example, with average residential DSL access
the page will load about 25 times slower, and with 56 Kbps modem about 150
times slower.
